click pic to see more about BEV GRANT, SINGER, SONG WRITER. I picked this photo of her with Gene Hicks and Minique Flambeau. aka Jerry Miknik, at a reunion of the Human Condition because 'tho I've always known her (since 1967) as one of the founders of the Women's Liberation Movement, and followed her as the creator and producer of WE WERE THERE performed by women members of local labor unions, and the Brooklyn Women's Chorus, which proves everyone CAN sing, she was also the lead singer and manager of Human Condition for which the technical director was Karen Miknik. The other musicians and singers who backed up her introducing militant feminism into rock and roll and world music were males. This may have been because one of her first songs was Charlie's Song, which some feminists found too compassionate.
